Dena has practiced as a leading interior designer in Houston & Boston for over 45 years. She is a professional member of The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and was licensed to practice in Texas since licensing was approved in this state. Dena served on its Gulf Coast Chapter’s board of directors and has edited their membership newsletter and chaired their referral service and their continuing education program. Her award-winning residential projects range from starter homes to large estates. Commercial projects include offices, health care facilities, educational and religious institutions. As a Houston interior designer, she has been involved in numerous new construction and remodeling projects.

Dena is closing her business in Houston this summer and moving to Jerusalem, Israel where she will continue to practice interior design, helping American clients buying apartments or homes in Jerusalem. The task of designing a home in a new country can be overwhelming and Dena will be helping her clients get through this successfully.

To assure that Dena’s designs reflect the individuality of her clients, she first focuses on their unique requirements and desires and incorporates them into an integrated design program. She meets with all family members or office staff, as an integral part of the process.

Dena has years of  interior design experience collaborating with architects, contractors, and craftsmen in the greater Houston area. She will use this experience and her 3 years of working on apartments in Jerusalem to bring excellence in design and collaboration to her American clients in Jerusalem.

Dena illustrates and clearly communicates her design ideas using the latest tools in design technology such as AutoCad™, 2020™, Photoshop™ and e-mail, completing projects in a timely and efficient manner. She will help her new clients in Israel with space planning, lighting design and specification of lighting and plumbing fixtures, tile and all the other sundry items that have to be purchased for their new place in Israel. She will also jump the hurdles and deal with the Israeli kablanim (contractors), a whole different ballgame for people used to dealing with American contractors. This task can be daunting, but with Dena at their side, clients will experience an American aesthetic and American attention to detail in an Israeli environment.
